(Honda performance parts) Buying Cheap Collector Cars
By Chris Jensen
There is hope, unless you’re looking to drive something that belongs in a museum. Over the years, I have bought and sold many collector trucks and cars, and I have friends that have done the same. Over the last few days, I found some amazing deals that any collector would be happy with.
Now keep in mind, these aren’t cars meant for the showroom, but that shouldn’t matter! They are decent cars that we enthusiasts can appreciate for a practical price! For instance, a “eBay” listing here for a 1971 Chevy El Camino. The car looks clean, and has a 350 v8 engine and a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, power disc breaks, power steering, and customized wheels. The person posting on that site was asking for $2,800 OBO. Just for you information, OBO means ‘or best offer.’
Anytime you see ‘OBO’ it’s important you try and make some money, because they are willing to take less. If you have the gift of gab, you might really be able to swing an amazing deal, but it’s limited by your skills. The best way to make a substantial savings is to find someone really desperate to get rid of the product, and this could be for a variety of reasons, but whatever it is, it means a great deal for you. Another “eBay” car, a 1970 Mustang coupe.
It looks clean, no rust, comes with a 302 V8 engine, automatic transmission, power brakes, power steering, and clean chrome wheels. They want $2200 OBO (or best offer). Imagine you could actually get it cheaper than it already is, just be smart about negotiating the deal. In general, there are many more things that may interest you, this is just one example.
Every time when looking online I manage to find all kinds of collector cars and trucks, using a number of sources I’ve collected over time. Since this is something I’m passionate about, I manage to find new sources all the time. Now those cars may not be something you’re interested in, but there are plenty more cars and car-sales where that came from.
Remember, talking about cheap cars that could actually get you into a collector car show! There’s almost always a huge increase in the number of cars you can walk away with for every $500 you add. You can get a collector car for cheap; all kinds of collector cars. What I’ve mentioned is just the tip of the iceberg.

General Left Hand Drive Car Information
By Daniel Millions
The only difference between a right and left hand drive car is the location of the primary driving components such as the steering wheel and pedals. For this reason many car manufactures design and create cars for both sides. However, the available left hand drive cars usually don’t match the production amounts of the right hand models. This is because the majority of the world’s population drives on the right. Traveling abroad to any of the many nations that require a left hand car can cause tourist problems.
If you plan to rent a car when you are visiting any of these countries you should be aware of the fact that a right hand car probably won’t be available. In fact, in most places where they drive left hand it is illegal to drive using a right hand car. Places such as Poland for example may not allow drivers to register their right hand cars. Something else to consider is the insurance cost of a left hand car in a right hand area. Not only the cost but even finding a insurer can be nearly impossible.
Here is a partial list of countries where they drive on the left hand:
1. Anguilla
2. Antigua and Barbuda
3. Australia
4. Bahamas
5. Bangladesh
6. Barbados
7. Bermuda
8. Bhutan
9. Botswana
10. Brunei
11. Cayman Islands
12. Christmas Island
(Australia)
13. Cook Islands
14. Cyprus
15. Dominica
16. East Timor
17. Falkland
Islands
18. Fiji
19. Grenada
20. Guernsey (Channel Islands)
21. Guyana
22. Hong Kong
23. India
24. Indonesia
25. Ireland
26. Isle of Man
27. Jamaica
28. Japan
Learning to drive using a left drive car may be the best option for someone who will be placed in the position of having to drive on the left. Sure, the same driving rules are in effect no matter which side you are on but the feel is completely different. Think about which way you stick your head out of the window at the fast food place or when you pay a toll on a toll booth. No image the same scenario but this time view yourself from the passengers side. Since everything is on the other side in left hand drive sections, you can see how that would be awkward.
Volkswagen’s most successful model, the sixth-generation Golf is made for both left and right hand while the Ford Falcon is exclusively right hand. Other popular models for left hand drive include the Toyota Camry, Nissan Infiniti, Land Rover Discovery, BMW 525, BMW 316, KIA Carival, Renault CLIO 1.2, the Citroen Picasso 1.6 and the coveted BMW 340. The Cadillac CTS-V is also strictly designed for left hand and may be very difficult to find outside of certain countries.
Certain cars models can also be converted over to the other side by professional mechanics. Someone relocating over seas may find it less expensive to have their car converted instead of purchasing a new one. Conversion kits are on the market for anyone knowledgeable enough to make the necessary changes themselves but for safety purposes it is advised to take it to a professional.
The steering wheel, dashboard and pedals are the primary parts included in such kits. Another option would be to import the proper hand car to your area. Finding a mechanic who can make repairs on either hand car certainly isn’t difficult considering they both function the same way. However their may be additional cost added for importing specialty parts.

How Auto GPS Units Work
By Phoenix Delray
Auto GPS units are probably the coolest things to hit the car since the cup holder. They can direct you anywhere you need to go, navigate you around traffic, construction and unexpected road blocks, help you find a nail salon and do it all with style. The voices on auto GPS units are almost always British and female, which go a long way in helping you to feel a bit closer to your inner James Bond (even if you are in a 1992 Ford Taurus).
These days, auto GPS units are available as an option in just about every new car, keeping more and more people from getting lost each day. One of the coolest things about auto GPS units is that auto GPS unit users do not have to subscribe to an additional service, costing extra money, for the devices to work. Other car gadgets, like OnStar, require you to spend extra cash each month just to have the thing work, kind of like a cell phone. With auto GPS units, on the other hand, you just plug it in to make it work and get to your destination.
Still, despite the fact that auto GPS units are prevalent in America today, few people actually know how they actually work (even if most of them use GPS on a day to day basis). To clear up any confusion, here is a glimpse on how auto GPS units work:
Each auto GPS unit has a receiver that calculates the position of your car by timing the signals that are sent by the mass of GPS satellites way above the earth. Each satellite continually sends out messages containing information, which is then picked up by the receiver, which is then sent through the auto GPS unit for it to compute the exact position of the car, a calculation made using geometry and trigonometry.
This information is then mixed with the data that came with the auto GPS unit when you bought it, giving you a map with a you are here dot that moves along as you do. The result is the map on the screen of the auto GPS unit that tells you which intersection you are at, which direction you need to steer to get where you are going and how far away your destination is. All in all, auto GPS units are one of the most useful technological advancements in the last few years.
